Just because I am who I am, I have set some new goals for myself for the rest of the year.  Now these are things I really want to do, but I will not beat myself up if I don't succeed fully.  I think if I publish these goals I will try to be more diligent.
1.  Post on this blog at least 3 times a week, I am going to try to get this on my iPhone so this will be a lot easier to do.
2.  Be consistent in my Bible study.  We are starting a Beth Moore study on James and one of the goals in that study is to memorize the book of James.  I plan to do my best and I really think I can do it.
3. I am studying to learn Spanish, so I plan by the end of the year to be able to hold my own when I interview a patient that only speaks Spanish.
4.  And this is the biggee, I have started writing a book, right now I am just brainstorming, writing things that pop into my head.  I would like to have something to submit to a publisher by the end of 2013.  I want to commit myself to write at least 4 times a week on this "book".

So that is not so much really?!!!!  In the midst of this my mom is moving from our house into an assisted living facility.  I am not sure how much that will either slow me down or speed me up.  I think that it will not bother me.  But you know how you think the day your kids start school and you think you are ok, but as you turn to walk away from the classroom the tears come?  That may be me when my mom moves.  There will definitely be a difference in my daily routine.

I would also like to do some book reviews on my blog.  Probably not many to start but hopefully I will get several in the next few months.  In my next blog I will explain how I became interested in writing book reviews.  But for today I will close and ponder on all these things I now have publicly committed to and prayerfully I will embark on this journey.  I am excited and I hope you will come along and feel free to offer any comments/advice/ etc.   I will be very happy to hear from you.
