What I'm listening to now.......

This album "Passion:Awakening" has some really amazing songs and I have enjoyed them so much. My favorite right now is "Awakening"
by Chris Tomlin. We all need the Lord to awake our souls and cause us to desire His will in our lives. The only way our souls will be awakened is with the power of God. I encourage all of you to listen and then pray that God will awaken your soul. enjoy.......

Commitment

I am going to be making some changes in my life.....little things. But sometimes those little changes are challenging. I have committed this year to start on that book that I have always wanted to write, and I have started, I am praying that the Lord will guide me in this endeavor. So God can guide me I am studying everyday and spending time in His word.
I really try to have a quiet time at home in my chair, but that does not always happen, so being my techno self, I have the Bible and some tools on my i-Phone and take advantage of that at some point during the day. The other things I am working on are learning some Spanish and memorizing the book of James. Not much. Go with me and I get through 2012.....what are you committed to this year?

What!!!!!!!we're still here????

Imagine my surprise when I popped over to my blog site and it was still here!  I figured someone had hijaked it, a tsunami had washed it away, an earthquake had shaken it loose or something!!!!!But no, it's still here and with no updates since November.  What is that all about?

I am still trudging on, just not so trudgy.  I am working in the Emergency Room now which I think I really love....it is wierd.....I feel at home but I don't really have a friend there yet.  The patients are interesting to say the least.  But the hours and stress load have done wonders for me.  I feel better and everyone tells me I look better.  I have lost 15 pounds and actually smile sometimes.   Today I joined Weight Watchers, last time I joined, I lost a lot of weight and I would like to drop at least 20-30 pounds this time.  Maybe this year's Christmas pics will show a little progress in this area.

Mom is still here with us, and all is well, she actually had hernia surgery in Feb. and did well.  She went in at 7am and was home by 3 pm.  She is doing good.  I think we might actually have a good year going :)  As I look back over my blog in November when she was in the hospital and how far she came, I think we did make it even though a couple of times I wondered.........

Pray for my niece who had a stroke last week as she starts her long road of recovery, she has a lot of spunk and determination.  Prayers from Godly people are  always what gets me over the hump tho and I know that she will need all the help she can get.  Please keep praying!

My wonderful husband keeps hanging in there through everything, he is so amazing.....notice I did not say perfect.  So if you are reading this and thinking "yeah if I had a perfect husband, my life would be better" well, sure, all of us could say that.  What I want to say is....Be grateful for what you have if you have a husband that puts up with you and all your weirdness.  My husband goes to the hospital and sits with my family even when I can't because I'm at work, he babysits the grandkids by himself, he shops for me and my mom, takes her to her dr appts.  He also took care of his mom and dad when they were sick, looks out for his sisters, whew!!!!!! It wears me out just thinking about it.  This man needs a vacation.  I might just take him on one....as long as he does the driving....:)

Have a wonderful day....keep smiling and just thank the Lord for one good thing He's done today, if you can stop at one......
